Terms of Use

Last updated November 4, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern use of the DataLinq data portal at datalinq.ai (the “Portal”), operated by 17 Web Dev, LLC (doing business as OneSeven Tech) (“DataLinq,” “we,” “us”). By signing in, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the company that invited you to the Portal (“your company”). If you do not have authority to bind your company, do not use the Portal.

1. What the Portal is for

The Portal lets invited companies describe datasets they own, upload samples and full datasets, and track DataLinq’s review. Submitting data does not create a sale or licence. Any licence, price or payment is agreed separately in a written agreement signed by both your company and DataLinq (a “Data Agreement”). If a Data Agreement conflicts with these Terms, the Data Agreement wins.

2. Accounts and access

  • Access is by invitation only. Accounts are personal; do not share sign-in links, sessions or upload keys.
  • Your company is responsible for the people it invites and for what they do in the Portal.
  • Tell us at once at james@oneseventech.com if you think an account, link or key has been misused.
  • We may suspend or remove access to protect the Portal, other users or submitted data, or if these Terms are breached.

3. Your data and your promises

Your company keeps ownership of everything it submits (“Submitted Data”). When your company submits data, it confirms the attestations shown in the submission form, including that:

  • it holds the rights needed to share the Submitted Data with DataLinq and to license it;
  • sharing the Submitted Data with DataLinq does not breach any law, contract, confidentiality duty, privacy notice or consent;
  • the Submitted Data does not include health records or PHI, payment card data, government ID numbers, data about minors or retail consumer-panel data, unless your company has told us so in the form;
  • where the Submitted Data contains personal information, your company has a lawful basis and has given any notices needed to share it with DataLinq for review and licensing; and
  • the information in the form is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and your company will tell us promptly if it changes.

4. What we may do with Submitted Data

Your company gives DataLinq a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, analyse and review Submitted Data, solely to evaluate it, discuss licensing it with your company, and run the Portal. We will not sell, license or disclose Submitted Data to any buyer or other third party without a Data Agreement or your company’s written consent. We keep Submitted Data confidential and share it only with our staff, contractors and service providers who need it for these purposes and are bound to keep it confidential.

5. Indicative prices

Any price range we share before a Data Agreement is indicative only. It is not an offer, and it does not oblige either side to enter into a Data Agreement.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • upload malware, or data your company has no right to share;
  • try to access other companies’ data or areas of the Portal you were not given;
  • probe, scan or test the Portal’s security, or interfere with how it runs; or
  • use the Portal for anything unlawful.

7. Removing data

Your company may withdraw a submission before a Data Agreement is signed by contacting us. Uploaded files are protected against deletion for 90 days after upload; after that, we will delete withdrawn Submitted Data within a reasonable time, except where the law requires us to keep it or where a Data Agreement says otherwise. We may keep records of the submission and attestations as evidence of what was agreed.

8. Disclaimers

The Portal is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Portal will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable to the other under these Terms for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue. DataLinq’s total liability arising from the Portal is limited to US$100. These limits do not apply to your company’s obligations in section 10, or to a party’s fraud or wilful misconduct.

10. Indemnity

Your company will defend and indemnify DataLinq against third-party claims arising from Submitted Data, including a claim that your company did not have the right to share it or that sharing it broke a law or someone else’s rights.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information about Portal users.

12. Changes and ending use

We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, tell active users by email. Continuing to use the Portal after that means you accept the new Terms. Either side can stop using the Portal at any time; sections 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 13 continue to apply afterwards.

13. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which 17 Web Dev, LLC is organized, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that state, unless a Data Agreement says otherwise.
